Let's see if restarting the whole PC again helps; I was able to launch the Halo MCC and Mass Effect LE, so it's not _every_ steam game.

Oh, this is fun, my video driver crashed earlier today when Destiny was running, and after restarting my PC, now Destiny won't launch at all, even after the steam "verify local files" operation. Great!

Phew, OK, after another reboot it seems to be starting all right. I was worried I'd have to do a complete uninstall/reinstall.
