The glorious thing about a cast iron pan is that only *literally melting the pan in a smelter* can really destroy it. Everything shy of that just means it has to be scrubbed hard and re-seasoned
Eh, it's _just barely_ possible for it to be rusted and/or temperature-shocked badly enough to actually break in two. But that's very rare!

OK, three ways: melting, shattering… irradiating? leaving it in range of a nuclear test wouldn't necessarily DESTROY it but you wouldn't want to USE it :D
