what a change. I gotta go dig up some articles about the history of this, bc I do know that anti-smoking has been one of the most successful public health campaigns ever.

The coffeehouse didn't replace their (stained yellow-brown!) drop-ceiling tiles for many years after they banned smoking, so the place kept on _smelling_ a bit like smoke for a long time
