I'm so old I remember when podcasts just had RSS feeds, and if you wanted to subscribe to one, you copied and pasted the url into your podcast app of choice. apparently that's not how it works anymore, and I think that's bad.

There's a new podcast I'd like to listen to, but I can't find an RSS URL for it, and it doesn't show up in my podcast app (Pocket Casts)'s directory, which I thought was pulled from other podcast directories' (Apple's?) APIs

I don’t know how new we’re talking, but it can take up to 2 weeks to get approved by Apple if they didn’t do the advance work to get approved before their first podcast is posted. Also, Apple is super notorious about new episodes showing up on their app in a timely way.
