I finished re-reading _Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell_ again (for the…mumble…th time) last night and I thought, "I want a sequel that follows Arabella Strange and Emma Pole's political careers"

It's just so well-woven, too. So many threads and they absolutely all fit together, with none out of place.
I did end up feeling sad for Mrs Brandy, whose subplot was dropped somewhat abruptly and who presumably never saw Stephen again
