this is criticism of nowthis, not of the 12-year-old girl, it's very cool and impressive of her, but "laundry folding robot" is pretty grandiose when it's clearly made of Lego Mindstorms and cardboard boxes and it can do one thing.
Also a skilled human can also fold that shirt in three seconds (or probably closer to 1 actually), so I’m not sure how it helps with the commercial problem
I assume by "commercially" they mean as a consumer product, not at industrial scale (where there are surely already machines to do this), and it seems like an idea that would be very helpful for people with some kinds of physical disabilities.
