I recall you aren’t an Apple fan, but I've been working with GarageBand’s software drummers on a recent project and I'm really impressed at how good they've gotten.
I'm not ANTI-apple, but I don't currently have any apple stuff or the budget to get a new macbook or iThing, sadly.
Yeah. GarageBand doesn’t cost extra, but even the cheapest Mac mini is awfully steep for a single-purpose hobby device
I'd actually like to have a macbook, so once it's financially feasible I'll definitely check GB out. in the meantime there are some, like, HTML5 808 emulators I could probably just rip audio off of. right now I'm just trying to rebuild my muscle memory and finger calluses.
