one of my favorite genres of tweet is "@mountain_goats talks about how much he loves playing shows in [city/state/country], or how much he loves [city/state/country] and hopes to play there soon," because his sincere affection for every place he mentions is contagious.
every time I see one of those tweets I think, "wow, that place must rule, I should try to visit there too"
It makes me wonder how many people go on road trips equipped with location-specific mountain goats soundtracks. But seriously I've never been to a show so full of joy as every MG show I've been to. Even the one where he ripped someone for jokingly requesting Free bird.
