and if republicans get Congressional majorities again, they'll point back to this, where they "negotiated" in purely bad faith just so the negotiations could "fail", and say "well we TRIED bipartisanship and you didn't want it!" while they dismantle what's left of democracy.

the big picture republican strategy post-2020, and they've never even pretended otherwise, has always been to do everything they can to prevent the Biden administration from getting anything done, and then run in 2022 and 2024 on a message of "Biden didn't accomplish anything!"
