I wondered idly whether pawpaws will grow in Massachusetts, and it looks like they will, but they aren't self-pollinating, so to get any fruit you need a thicket of them. so much for putting one in the backyard.

maybe! still not sure when I'm likely to be traveling again, but worth thinking about.
