      The trucks also sell the packaged stuff, and there are carts in parks and so on that only sell the packaged, but ice cream truck = soft serve.

      Here in Queens, I’ve observed the fake ice cream trucks that are 50/50 with soft serve ones that only have packaged treats and it’s always a disappointment when you get close and realize they basically are a bodega’s freezer on wheels

      In my old neighborhood there was an ice cream truck that was basically just a janky pickup truck with a chest freezer in the bed
