And even if we accept her very dubious implication that one "trend" is a direct substitute for the other, wouldn't it be…good? that teens feel they can express their gender presentation openly instead of self-harming because they're depressed from being closeted??
She absolutely doesn’t see it that way - she sees is solely as switching out one harm for the other. Remember that TERFs - like the homophobes before them - like to immerse themselves in the painful details, so she’s probably convinced that chest binding is extremely dangerous.
