Don't come into my threads and try to lecture me about sex and gender with your tired ass "But genetics!" You don't understand basic genetics, much less how sex actually works (it's way more complicated than XY) and I will airlock you without a second thought.
"but I learned in high school bio!" well gosh, can't think of anything else people learn in high school that's actually a radical oversimplification of complex realities, so I guess that checks out!
I mean, they teach an incorrect and vastly oversimplified idea of eye color heredity, too. Humans are not pea vines.
That one bugs me, because there's so many better traits to use EVEN IN HUMANS. Hexadactyly is a single gene dominant trait. Sickle cell anemia. And by NOT using those traits we get people who don't understand how "bad" traits can be maintained in populations. Sigh.
