      These were roughly contemporary with the C64 and such, but unlike the Commodore, the Amstrad had its own proprietary monitor. I'm not sure what kind of connection it used, but it wasn't very sophisticated by modern standards, a TV adapter would probably be possible.

      It'd be a shame to sacrifice a functional vintage unit, but if you could get a mechanically sound but non-working one, or just the case, you could put a raspberry pi or something inside it, and hook it up to the tape deck and keyboard.
