I think back on the things in my life that I regret. I regret not going to the public university where I could’ve gotten a full ride. I regret not getting a second opinion when I was having anxiety attacks in HS and my pediatrician said it was the stomach flu.

I regret not taking care of my mental health before I went to live in Japan, which resulted in agoraphobia and an increase in my panic disorder. Most of what I regret is things I did not do more than things I did.

I don’t regret seeking help for my anxiety and depression! I don’t regret exploring my gender and my sexuality. I don’t regret having met and known the people I have in my life as part of my support network. Why would I want to stop other people based on my personal regrets?

Related: I regretted eating a hot dog inserted into a twinkie that was then deep-fried in tempura batter, almost instantly. I was completely unable to function the rest of the day. But I’m not gonna stop people doing that weird shit because that weird shit makes life fun.https://twitter.com/GumbyAnne/status/1396928562544877568 …
