Gymnastics parents are 20 times worse than little league parents screaming at the umpires, yes. And FIG has “we’re only trying to keep the gymnasts safe” line of BS to cover their racism. Same as figure skating judges.

As if the FIG code of points hasn’t been pushing gymnasts to the breaking point for 70 years. Now that someone blows their stupid code out of the water, they care about safety.
