"Pride should be a safe place for queer kids" is true but it's also a reductive place to argue from. Pride is an amalgamation of many smaller spaces and not all of them can (or should) be kid-friendly. And that's FINE.

hell, I think it might be one we were on track 20 years ago to be much more ready for, than we actually are currently. the 21st century's been real backlashy in a lot of ways.
