"make it a felony for a prisoner to perpetrate a fraud on a free person"?? is fraud…not already a crime??? what is going on here

The author literally doesn't accuse the former prisoner of doing a damned thing that's illegal; under the circumstances, it's not clear whether the behavior they accuse the former prisoner of was even *outrageously* inconsiderate. The author's fantasy fell through, is all.

"during the time when he had virtually no agency and I was one of very few ways for him to get any help, he acted as though he reciprocated the professionally inappropriate feelings I was expressing to him. but once his situation changed, he stopped! this is a Crime against me"

also it is VERY WEIRD to me that she insists on calling him "my brother" throughout, even though he clearly never truly consented to that understanding of their relationship.

No indication in the replies to the Medium post that would indicate it's been circulating recently (a hundred replies, all months or a year ago except one last week and one just now). My God her bio at her organization's About Me is deranged though.https://www.lwopstudies.org/about-us/

one more thing I found super weird and then I'm going to try to stop thinking about this: she's for abolishing LWOP specifically, but…otherwise thinks the carceral system is fine? that seems like a weird position!
