I was also thinking: if a child sees someone in a harness and pup hood at Pride, and their parent calmly explains that some grownups like to play dress-up like that, instead of reacting with shame or disgust or anger—
—then if when they're older the kid finds they also have kinky desires, they'll be more likely to accept them in a healthy way instead of feeling shame, anger, or disgust at themselves.
don't teach children to internalize shame and disgust about identities they may grow up to inhabit IMO
