I want to go back to bars and restaurants, believe me, I miss it and I worry that my good relationships with staff and fellow patrons at the places I was a regular have withered in the last fifteen months, but I want the pandemic to be over more. It isn't over.

The first vaccine only opened to the general public on 4/19. That would mean that a lot of people will only be getting their second shot on 5/19 or later. Which means they won't be fully immune until after 5/29…

yep! I get my second shot tomorrow, so I reach full protection on June 1st. That's not _very_ long after 5/29, but it's sure after it.
