even if "learning loss" is real, quite frankly, i don't think it's nearly as big a deal as SICK AND DEAD KIDS, and the fact that you think it's more important honestly scares me

the expectation that kids would be learning at the usual unrealistic breakneck pace we expect of them in the us during a pandemic that almost certainly has killed someone they know personally is, frankly, cruel and evil

as for "all these kids are going to need therapy and remedial socialization!!!!" okay? i would much rather have ALIVE KIDS so we can do that? hey maybe let's set up some robust, accessible programs to help kids? bueller? bueller?

I mean, all the adults are going to need therapy and remedial socialization, too, so maybe this is a thing that the government could do something about, seeing as how it would benefit everyone
