I can usually successfully avoid or ignore his garbage takes, but this lie made me pretty mad, in part because it's a lie many liars used as justification for trying to harass my friends off the internet, and that wasn't very long ago.
i have no goddamn idea why anyone heard people (mostly women and queer ppl) say “some Bernie supporters do very extreme and sexist harassment if you disagree with them” and managed to hear instead “liking Bernie is sexist”
and then harassment mobs happened even more, bc women were pointing out sexism. bc the point is always to stop women speaking, and to send death threats for anodyne observations like “Bernie is able to act in ways that prominent women in politics cannot”
