policy _and_ infrastructure, that is. actually-robust and extensive train and bus systems, incentives for growth of vibrant downtowns, affordable housing, arts subsidies

yess big agree like...make mid-sized cities that aren't just college towns workable again; not *the* solution to hsg crises in big cities but def a way if we're looking to curb exurb sprawl

oh of course also universal affordable broadband is key to this too, and normalized remote work, and shorter work weeks, so people have the leisure time to appreciate the arts
