The absolutely absurd _density_ with which right-wing grievance grifters use the word "woke" is really telling. A Carlson or Morgan or Friedersdorf or Greenwald can hardly get through a paragraph without a half dozen "woke"s, "wokies", "wokeism"s, etc.
It makes it very clear what other thing they really want to, and feel they "can't", say (as @AngryBlackLady and many others have noted) they're substituting it for.
