I would be interested in ways this design COULD be made accessible, because it’s otherwise pretty great
I love our rowhouse. I like being this close to the neighbors—we were at a point where we knew almost all the names on our little dead end street, before several of them moved in the last couple of months. And having a basement with what could be an extra unit is great...
Especially given the definition of family is shifting somewhat away from the nuclear. Like, that would be amazing for an aging parent, if it was accessible, so they could have their own space and independence but also help and family is right upstairs
yeah, and it's a good amount of living space for a relatively high number of people, in a small footprint!
my brother and his family had a wonderful little rowhouse in Philly until they moved to New Orleans (where instead they have an also wonderful detached-but-small single-family on a medium-dense street).
