partner reports she may have put it back on slightly wet last time she put away the clean dishes, so best guess is it's rusted together, which…swell.

oh, how fun, it turns out the dough hook is stuck fast on the kitchenaid, and so far even WD-40 and a mallet have not gotten it to budge

well, that was a bit of excitement, there was some loud cursing, my hand got lightly scalded, and all the towels are now in the wash, but it's off again, and I will be sure to carefully clean both the attachment and the shaft before using it again.

Is there something crusted around the pin? It’s the only thing I can think of that would stick it, since the fit is pretty loose except for at the pin.
