I've been playing catch-up on movies for years, because of the whole "no movies allowed" cult upbringing. Blair Witch Project is on Amazon Prime and I've heard about it for years as super influential. ...We had to stop it about 5 minutes in.

Apparently they remade it in 2016 to be more interesting and slightly less shaky-cam, so we're trying that now.

The remake was at least wise enough to start with a scary hook and not, like, "packing to go camping" which reminded me of every childhood summer in a Bad Way.
