IMO on the one hand it's pretty gross to suggest that people only think Boseman should have won because he died tragically young or because they liked a superhero flick, rather than on the actual current merits of his nominated performance;—
—and on the other hand it's ridiculous to pretend these awards have ever been, or could ever be, "objective" or "apolitical" recognitions of pure merit with no context or history
