Ragnarok is a _very smart_ movie, and Infinity War was directed by people who didn't have confidence that their audience could handle a movie that smart, so they just undid it.

I had hoped they would lean into those flaws for Endgame, because that has some real potential... but no. Thor's just a sad lumpy guy who can't forgive himself and misses his mom. Undid most of the character crafting done by Ragnarok, TBH. Maybe Thor 4?
