changing topics, does anyone have a favorite homemade hummus recipe? I have a jar of tahini and a can of chickpeas that have been sitting in my cabinet waiting to be used.
I have a Waring Blendor, with rocket-ship fins, that is older than my parents. It has an on/off switch, and that is all.

Oh and I agree about skinning the chickpeas but I don’t do it in the spring or fall when my arthritis is bad. It will hurt you if your hands or wrists are bad. :P

That’s perfect. My dad used the same harvest gold blender we used for pina coladas. He learned the recipe/method from an Israeli colleague.
