changing topics, does anyone have a favorite homemade hummus recipe? I have a jar of tahini and a can of chickpeas that have been sitting in my cabinet waiting to be used.

unfortunately it is not a recipe I can put quantities to. For truly excellent hummus, skin the chickpeas. Other ingredients besides those two: fresh lemon juice, garlic, parsley, olive oil, salt. More olive oil than you think. Drizzle it in the feed tube until texture is great.

actually, quantities *digging in memory* half a #10 can chick peas one big spatula blop of tahini (Maybe 3/4 cup) Generous handful garlic cloves (probably a regular handful for anyone with hands larger than my too small for a real bass hands) 2-3 lemons Handful of parsley leaves
