lot of people trying to dunk on Brad McBeer ("Brad McBeer" ™ @AngryBlackLady and @Hegemommy) for the hypocrisy of saying _his_ alleged teen misdeeds can't be held against him, but _other_ teens can be locked up for life.
But it's not hypocrisy. It's an assertion of power.
the implicit premise is that teen misdeeds, even very serious ones, don't count _for people like Brad,_ but any tiny misstep for ~the wrong kind~ of person as a child justifies taking their whole life away.
