I was on the way home from town when it came on NPR over the radio, out of the blue that he was "retiring." The 1st thing I said... He got paid OFF!! Justices don't quit w/o mumblings floating abt 4 a long time unless death. This REAKS of $$$.

There were rumors months ago he would resign. People forget.

So I'm curious. Does that, by any chance, make a difference to you about the possibility he was "encouraged" to retire earlier than he'd planned? Unfortunately the tone from this admin, has always been pay them off or beat them up. Just get 'em gone. Can't help but feel played.
