I agree with that if their innocence is certain and they lived crime-free lives after their acquittals. Otherwise it gets messy for a tough-on-crime President.

Reading up on the situation now. Gets muddy because Trump’s ad was anti-crime in general. Didn’t even mention the case. Plus he doesn’t apologize (general rule) and there is nothing to pardon because cases were vacated.

And as recently as 2016 he still thought they might be guilty. But I agree some sort of gesture would be helpful.
