That’s the issue though, the cost isn’t tangible in terms of “Trump lied about who should get credit for the unemployment rate so now ‘x’ happened”. The real cost of his constant lying is the erosion of public trust. Which really just drives a bigger wedge between us.

If Trump keeps delivering wins, that gains way more trust than lies about crowd size or porn stars loses. Wouldn't you say? And what about trust in how it is reported? I'd say that trust is eroded. Irreparably? And since when did lies in Washington DC suddenly become a thing?

Ok, his lie about bringing back coal and coal jobs has a real cost. These communities could be focused on moving forward into the 21st century but are instead placing their future in a dying industry.
