I doubt ISIS cared who dropped the bombs. Obama vs Trump. In as far as I can tell almost all the heavy lifting was done by the ground troops, and those were not US troops, or anyone liking to Trump for guidance.

We don’t know what our special forces and drones were doing. But they had better rules of engagement and ISIS knew we weren’t leaving until they were gone. Both big deals.

If we don’t know, we don’t know. That can’t be factored in, and seems like the same thing that was happening under Obama. If you have a reference to the changes that Trump made in the Military directives for that theatre of operations I am more than willing to read them.

Mattis said rules of engagement changes made a difference. The not-leaving messaging is an obvious upgrade from Obama’s strategy.
