Alex Jones is a legitimately evil person & InfoWars is a legitimately evil program. And — unless you spend the whole segment lambasting them for their lies & their deceit — appearing with Alex Jones on InfoWars helps legitimize, popularize, & propagate evil. Period. End of story. https://twitter.com/scottadamssays/status/989912369064173571 …

I appeared on InfoWars and, according to you, tainted myself. Tweeting at me legitimizes me. You are now legitimizing and propogating evil. Period. End of story.

Terrible logic Scott. As anyone can read, I said appearing on the show would be justified *if* you used the air time to properly critique Alex Jones & InfoWars for their constant lies & deception. Calling out deceit & acquiescing to it are two different things. But you knew that.

Would you apply the same standard to CNN? I also appeared there several times. They reported the Charlottesville hoax as real, and that was far worse for the country:https://bit.ly/2EpNBhO

So you’re more than happy to call out CNN for their lies but when given the chance to publicly call out Alex Jones & InfoWars for their lies you take a pass and decide to engage in some lovely Whataboutism on Twitter dot com. Sounds about right.

I called out CNN on Charlottesville because no one else did. Sandy Hook was well covered by others. Is your standard that I must personally address all controversies?

My standard is what I said in my original Tweet, Scott. Alex Jones is uniquely influential, uniquely bad, & uniquely damaging to the causes that I care about — he should not be legitimized. But, if you decide to go on his show & get the chance to call him out, you must take it.

Uniquely? CNN reported (and still does) that the President of the United States publicly sided with racists. That is untrue. And seriously dangerous for the country. Do they get a pass from you because it does not qualify as "uniquely" dangerous?https://bit.ly/2EpNBhO

I call out CNN when they lie. I call out Alex Jones when he lies. I’m interested. When you went on his show you should’ve called out Alex Jones for his lies — 9/11 Trutherism, Sandy Hook hoax lies, PizzaGate, & much more — but you didn’t. Will you call him out right here & now?

Incorrect. That was the hoax part. "Both sides" means both sides of the question about confederate statues. See here:https://bit.ly/2EpNBhO
