You are assuming that a judge would understand, that the "case" can be made in a reasonable time by pointing at data in the court room and that it is easy to do. Claiming that something should be easy to explain because it is well understood is just moving the goalposts.

That sounds very much like "If I can't understand it, it must be suspect." which is something other than being skeptical. If scientific issues were to be decided in court (or by you), the scientific method would have the step "Make sure Scott gets this". Luckily, it doesn't.
