Why don't you be more specific? What time period are you referring to? What are the comparative quantification's of what you are referring to? Protectionism DOESN'T protect anything. It is 1 unit of benefit for 1000 units of negativity. Why do you think economists hate it?

An economy is far more complex than that. Things that happened a decade ago are affecting this. I can pretty well guarantee that people relying on these questionable numbers will regret it a lot over the next 2 years. Even fake numbers can't hide a depression.

I hope you remember me and the Centrifugal Satz Clock when things crash and they try to blame it all on Trump. It won't be his sole fault, 2 party policies will have lead to it but it won't matter. He'll be blamed. People think correlations work perfectly, they never do.
