Fact check this: If a new law says police can temporarily seize a citizen's weapon when a clear and immediate danger is identified, that BECOMES due process. It is not ignoring due process. @POTUS

They can already do this. No new law needed. Trump must have been suggesting something else...OR he is just keeping the pot stirred while he continues to MAGA behind the scenes.

No, he called for a new law from Congress. What would that new law look like? It couldn't say, "Police are still allowed to do what they were already allowed to." If new law is, "Police can take weapons from anyone under investigation", there goes Trump's conceal carry.
