Why do we arrest people and put them in jail before trials? We already put due process second.

Yes but they have the ability to leave jail via bond until a verdict is given. Placing them in jail until then is to ensure their presence when trial occurs.

Understandable. And I agree there should be due process involving the declaration of who is mentally ill or not. If Trump is serious about this this opens Pandora’s box and allows progressives to utilize this logic to take every right they do not agree with.
