Scott, the premise that 25 % chance of great parents is prolly true but population distribution would provide that 50% would be average where last 25% would be challenged. The main flaw is where do all the “Great” experts come from. Same law applies..

Lastly. I think you are right on with kid inherent nature. I had 2 - 1 a huge challenge, no punishment or peer pressure worked. Had to dial back strictness. 2nd 1 very smart and self motivated. Very little trouble. Both turned out great but need both of us.
