In my opinion, it is strong evidence, albeit not proof. Given that you can't "prove a negative" in any situation, this is about the highest quality of evidence any of us can have. Can you suggest any evidence that would be superior?

The only way to conclude it's "strong evidence" is to be completely clueless about racism. The way ppl discuss other races is much more useful. Hell, simply polling how those races feel about the person in question is way more useful.

You agree with me that in the absence of other information, the white person with black friends is more likely to be less racist than the person who has none by choice. No guarantees, of course.
