@ScottAdamsSays ... would only be more useful than the doctor with unusual problems. For instance -- describing the symptoms of flu, cold, allergies, pneumonia all sound about the same to laymen, but doc can ID which almost immediately, and confirm with tests. Crowd not helpful

... point that suggests this may be true. There are probably other "crowd-source" data that would be useful WRT to "common" allergies, colds, etc. -- not as diagnosis per se, but if, e.g., cedar allergies are peaking one month, that data might point in a general way.
