"Trump's response on 702 wasn't the doddering confusion of a television-addicted, indifferently- educated, mentally incurious man. It was 14 dimensional Quantum chess using his masterful grasp of linguistics and rhetoric." Sanders, soon.

You joke, but this is precisely what we can expect @ScottAdamsSays to argue, who is heavily invested in the 7D chess theory. “It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.” -Upton Sinclair.

Compare to the competing theories that said the country would be in flames by now. Which one predicted better?

Hi @ScottAdamsSays - While some more hysterical pundits predicted fiery doom, the more reasonable argument made, and supported by tweets like this:Trump was not up to task due to lack of discipline, focus, intellectual rigor, patience, etc. Occam’s razor: 7D chess or TicTacTrump?

Trump has been enormously successful in reaching the presidency. An incredible achievement, no doubt. However, as President, he appears to be getting in his own way on a daily basis, unintentionally and spasmodically undermining his own stated goals.

You don't see Republicans getting what they want across the board so far?

Not particularly, especially given they control both houses of Congress and the executive branch. See, e.g., inability to repeal Obamacare.

Didn't Congress rescind the mandate? That was the part they hated. Was that your best example?

Congress did rescind the mandate. However, you suggested the GOP got everything they wanted. GOP also hated the MEDICAID expansion, inability to buy across state lines, etc.

Also, @ScottAdamsSays , this is a great example of how Trump got in his own way, with his unnecessary and absurd attacks on Sen McCain, who ended up being the deciding vote. Trump needlessly attacks those whom he could have chosen to align himself with.
