I would never kill an animal, but I have a friend who shot an elephant. It was very old and the herd had abandoned him. Had no teeth and would have starved. They camped out w/ the locals too. I don’t know if all that was true, but that is this story.

Why? scientific proof trumps emotions. Areas that have regulated hunting have healthier herds of all wild animals. Hunters put money into economies where no other economic hope exists

But what long term economic model can you make on the value of a wild animal? Any hunting license gets part lost to corruption, doesn't translate to increase animal numbers reliably, difficult to calculate value of keeping it alive. Although law was about trophies
