A basic understanding of NPD and OCPD is a far easier predictor (Occam’s Razor again) than a brilliant execution of a master plan through extreme calculation and cognition.

Your viewpoint of Occam’s razor is that the president of the United States, who defeated a political dynasty supported by the media, lacks sufficient strategy and intelligence?

No. America has been unraveling for a long time. The internet has made truth even more “subjective.” It’s right place right time for his success.

Your first two points sound like things Trump would say.

I see Trump’s persuasion based strategy and technique. Adams sees Trump’s persuasion-based technique. That’s two trained persuaders. Let’s ask Professor Robert Cialdini, the “Godfather of Influence.”https://twitter.com/jasonl3d/status/867732302968872961 …

You cannot, in good intellectual conscience, ignore any longer the persuasion skill of Donald Trump, and when you consider that that skill would naturally form the foundation of his strategy, you cannot deny that he has one.

I don't deny that he's persuasive. He persuaded half of the US to vote for him. That's something. I just argue that it's not the brilliant master plan of a man with full agency, but rather the disorder of a man whose main symptoms can be articulated by clinical psychologists.

Like all conspiracy theorists, this comes down to hero worship. The all powerful “They” in this case is Trump, and his genius. Unfortunately it’s just a lot more real and basic than that. Well documented personality disorders > unmatched supernatural powers.

What is the name of the disorder that makes you President with no experience and at half the budget?

The internet + democracy + history of anti-establishment, religious zeal, american exceptionalism + current flavor of cultural soup = elevation of disordered zealot to savior status. It can only happen in America, full of risk-taking believers & idealists who are worship prone
