I predict that kneeling teams will generally lose to standing teams. Kneeling triggers submissive body chemistry. #NFL #Kneeling

If you are into confirmation bias, here is some evidence: http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2017/09/26/trump-effect-hits-nfl-teams-with-more-protesters-were-more-likely-to-lose.html … warning: Fox News publication bias, small sample, etc.

This article is from 26 September 2017, nearly a full month prior to Scott Adams's "prediction." Can't validate a prediction with events predating it, irrespective of bias and sample size concerns.

In this case I'd expect the biggest impact early in the season before it all becomes routine. But you have to look at whole season.

You're seriously doubling down on this? How can kneeling in protest cause a decrease in performance on the field? I genuinely do not understand how you concluded this.

Read Pre-suasion by cognitive scientist Cialdini. Then google "smiling makes you happy." Google "color and mood." All related phenomenon.

So if a person kneels and it is not in protest, then 20 minutes later plays football, what happens? Poor performance, also?

If you mentally process tying your shoe as tying your shoe, no impact. But literally "kneeling" in front others is not winning symbolism.

It sounds like we should work to end racism so players can exhibit winning symbolism before the game. Football is obviously very important to them. If they're willing to sacrifice wins for the cause, it must be an important one.

Then consider your allies on this "kneeling in protest makes you lose football games." This is powerful messaging--it is absolutely raising awareness all over the U.S. Athletes can care about their cause & still be consummate professionals--they're not protesting during the game.
