I'm just going to say it: If CDC guidelines had told us to socially distance from obese people over the age of fifty, the pandemic would already be over. Because math. And they fucking knew it. But they couldn't say it. Wokeness probably killed 200,000 people.

Assuming the basics are correct, and I don't think they are, this idea wouldn't work out for the same reason that the idea we would "just" need to isolate the old and vulnerable hasn't worked out: you can't isolate 42% of the population.

That's the wrong model. I can definitely stay out of closed spaces with the obese folks over 50. Don't need to make it their problem. Make it my choice. Done in one month.

I guess in-person schooling could also be made much safer by moving the kids into the RV. On a more serious note, I just think these options aren't available to the majority of the population and even if they are, people will have good and bad reasons not to make use of them.
