I'm just going to say it: If CDC guidelines had told us to socially distance from obese people over the age of fifty, the pandemic would already be over. Because math. And they fucking knew it. But they couldn't say it. Wokeness probably killed 200,000 people.

I'm not sure I see the practical difference between "stay out of any closed room with an obese person over the age of 50" and "dear obese people over the age of 50, don't go in a closed room with anyone else" As for "did it wrong", that must be accurate given the figures.

In the UK we did both. Vulnerable people were told to "shield", i.e. be maximally isolated, and we've also had several national lockdowns to reduce general transmission. That hasn't stopped us having one of the worst death rates in the world.
